i spoke to some foreign guy on here about it, apparently it just makes the bike a bit more everything, acceleration abit more, top end abit more, pulls better through gears, and more expensive to run and you also need to pay 300+ for the kit and then have it fitted lol.. it would probably be cheaper to do your test and just buy a more powerful bike lol

hi mate i wouldnt upgrade to a 170 kit personally as it will destroy your bottom end with too much friction,ie bearings, also normally cant be bored out so you will have to buy another 170 kit after you've destroyed that one lol, its ok if you got alot of money to waste smile.gif

get the expansion chamber and cut around the largest point of weld with a angel grinder, rip out the restrictors and the cat then weld back up, then remove the internal sleeve from the start of exhaust(where it joins to engine) with a dremmel and it will be derestricted and fly mate smile.gif

wouldnt bother with 170 kit. complete waste of money... max overbore on a standard barrel would prob take you close to around 145cc anyway..

no. you can rebuild the 170 zylinder! Can be bored out or another "Buchse" (German) . The bearing will make that! Beacause the dt 200 WR with over 35 PS has the same bearings!!!!! It's no problem, the 170 is a nikasyl zylinder, you will have not much more heat, so thats no problem. And with a bit work you can get a 40 PS dt with that Zylinder. Don't listen to the stupid kids wo hasn't ever seen and tested this Zylinder!

sorry I'm german. Keep cool. Sorry for the "zylinder" but I think you can understand it? So what? You can get every "cylinder" in the uk for the 3MB00 Engine. No 3. nothing to with tha, I just sad the same bearings so it isn't true that he would get problems with them.
