This is the first time i have seen the bike with these wheels on and i have to say it looks a bit weird! Front wheel just looks out of place because it's sooooo big
Had a little go on it just round the block and it definately rides nice and sit's quite a bit higher well happy with it.
It's just kinda wierd after seeing it with th moto's on
But i recon it's just the tyres ... if [when] you shove some MT21's etc on, it will look proper Lanza Cool ......
Bikes too good for knobblies & mud & $hite anyhow ...
Nice Bike Though m8 ..... & Rocking Horse $hite hard to find in decent nick [unless you have Aussie Contacts !! ]
awww yea ....
and a blue front fender too ..............
Cheers fella ( i think )
Yeah it does look completely different, and will look worse again after today because all the original lanza bodywork/tank is going back on .
Just done a search on those MT21's you mention and it seem you have answered my question from another thread :)
But your wrong about the front MUDGUARD though,it might look strange in the pics having a white front end but it just looks perfect when you see it in the ,erm, metal.
looked better moto'd.. but like said once you get knobblies on it then it will look right.. road tyres on 21/18's never looks right!..
I wouldnt wanna take a lanza offroad either incase I crashed it. I know you can just say dont fall off but Ive ridden off road loads of times and you will eventually have an off on it and the last one I had cost me a seat, handlebars, grabrail, set of wheels, rear disc, rear fender, one industries helmet and a few other bits and bobs. and that was from hitting a small rock @ 30mph.. Luckily I didnt bend the forks! The time before that I dented a week old front expansion @ 5mph.. pisses you right off unless you got money to splash. Im gonna get another wreck of a dt to take offroad (older shape dt's seem to crash better.. I think the panel design of the older ones were way better.. My mate crashed his loads of times and only ever snapped a clutch lever!) other than that get an old xr250 for ragging on the mud..
dont get me wrong. DT/Lanza are brilliant bikes but they are only good for the occasional greenlane bimble.. I learned the expensive way!
also the rear shock relay arms are not up to abuse either. Every dt Ive come across have had wear in the bearings from offroad use. And you cant replace the bearings (or one set of em at least) with anything other than gen yam ones at twice the price of a yz/wr it because yam patented (or similar) the bearing so only they sell it!
would also strongly recommend a bash guard or making one out of 5mm sheet alu. Easy to do and ive made my own. Reason is the starter motor is exposed under the engine. ding that on a rock and break it and its £250ish for a new one from mr yam unless you are lucky and a dtre one fits. even then they rarely come up on ebay!
sorry for the ramble.. just my experiences..

Turn right to go left! Guess what? I tried it, and you know what? This crazy thing happened - I went right!
hmm £1500 for a lanza... sell my dtre, buy lanza, convert lanza to sm, convert 89 dt back to standard... then sell that. so id have a sm'd lanza and nearly 1k in my pocket.. just dont have a licence or someone to buy my bike @ 1500!!!
