does anyone else think that if you have to potter around on a dt in wet ice cold w/e, when you want to go fast its just not,
i was thinking this for the past week that it was really slow and dragging behind, i thought it might need the powervalve looking at again, then i decided to go out for a ride and really ragged it lol
probably not rag to some peoples standards cuz i dont really mistreat my bike lol but i ragged it and it feels soooo much more response and fast (fast when i stopped ragging it btw back to normal speeds lol)
Mine gets a Small flat spot at 7k Rpm if i ride around not speeding, When i done my Lesson and my Test, on the way home down the dual carrage way it had a half second long flat spot just before the DEP kicks in then it goes if you fly around.
ive found that in the cold weather it is diffrent hard to explain at low revs its just sort of less responsive than normal always sounds like its about to cut oujt even at 6k revs. same as you craig?

anyone else find this??
Top End ... Plug ... Pipe ... Silencer ...
Will all coke up, even if you rag it everywhere !
More so if you bimble ! as heat is not generated to burn deposits off piston crown / top end !
What's the Yam / Haynes manual say about De Coke, how often ???
Used to run 2T's on road which had a 100 hours limit of use time before de coke & top end inspection ! Now that was a Tw@t !
What's your mileage ? Is it genuine ? Last de coke ? Is it on standard pipe / silencer from new ?
You have prob' cleaned the plug by getting some heat into it !

Mileage is about 14350 (bought at 11500 fooook me! In July!) never ever done a decoke have a new silencer a lil while ago had a few plugs, could probably do with another one! Il look how long ago I bought it on the receipt. It still doesn't feel as good as it did maybe past month, it's got a full big one system which everyone hates lol want a gutted standard! Il clean the plug, bit of wd40 do the trick? Cheers
may be that when you ride a bike when its warm all the **** in the exhaust clears, when its cold it stays, causing it to feel boaty, you will notice even when its a warm day if you dont warm it 1st and clear it then it will ride like a bag of pooh until you do
poo until you do haha yeah it was fine when i went out the other day .. getting a bit more used to changing gear with my boots now
i am abit confused on a matter tho .. my dts gear selector play is quite long, i have to move it couple of cm to change gear, all the other bikes ive been on .. RS, NSR, TS, hartford vr, some spainish thing they all like tap the selector a tiny bit and it changes gear .. not sure if its just mine or what, has it come loose? always been like it? i think its why it particularly difficult to change gear lol
kept knocking it into neutral .. grr

ive always used boots so i havant really had a problem but your right you do have to move it alot to change gear. this is a good thing though makes nautral really easy to find :D
haha yeah i guess it has but was never a problem away .. might try a motocross selector but im kinda getting used to, might not be arsed and just get on with it haha
