Sorry Craig I dunno about the individual improvement, as the carb is so awkward to get off I did the reeds, main jet, inlet manifold and silencer all together, seems to be revving ok now but still running in, just past 500 miles now.

i dont understand your question re the power valve, I found it in the restricted position when i looked at it. as shown by the red outline on my photo.

ok then , it was mis-aligned and now it isnt, the reed switch has no affect over it anyway, thats just a speed limiter so only comes into play when doing a certain speed.

yeh 60mph..

reeds make no difference either. dont waste your money.. My mate had exactly same bike as me, same year, same mods, same pipe and he had carbon reed and I had stock. No difference... and if there is its so small that its un-noticeable.. all they do is give a millisecond better throttle response... Only advantage of carbon reeds is they might last longer?

I fitted the 3MB head the other week.

Tarted it up as would be appropriate.

Heres the difference
3BN with its groovy squish

And more traditional 3MB

I pressure tested both the heads and as expected the 3MB gave the higher pressure
3BN

3MB

New head new plug lets party biggrin

She's running quite well now

For the hell of it I think i'll pin my PV open

Just to see!!!

Nice one DeeTee!! An extra 10PSI compression cant be bad!! The 3BN head must be holding back compression some how.

Have you noticed a difference in speed or running since you swapped the heads over?

I had a split in the rubber outer gasket that joins the exhausts and i noticed a big difference in performance when i repaired it so i must have been losing compression thru there!
