2002 dtr 125 was in a shop up for 1500 got it for 1000
12 months tax and mot 13000 miles 2 owners still restricted even had yamaha warranty parts card and pre inspection delivery report full service from yamaha dealership
then bought full dep system front mudguard brace gold exhaust guard new handlebar guards deristricted it
has had laserline alarm system fitted and gprs tracking device total cost was 1820 so not bad i think
had alarm and tracker installed as i know theses are common bike,s for thieves as all they do is snap steering lock unplug ignition and lick it and they start so this 1 aint going no where as its allways alarmed when i not with it and i disc locked and chained to something constantly
as i know the 1st time i dont lock her up bye bye bike

Yeah anyone who knows about bikes knows these are so easy to nick, and it must be the most gutting feeling aswell when it gets taken for you, good for you though mate getting it all belled up like that, your be suprised though what these little chav's dont know when it comes to these bikes, like take the spark plug cap off everytime aswell, so it wont start, manual chokes aswell on the old skool bikes they forget about these things aswell smile.gif

ive noticed a few lads hanging around my bike when its parked up so all i do is press warn button on alarm on they realise its alarmed and walk of but if they really want to nick it then alarms and locks wont matter thieves will go to any length to nick it if they really want the bike
one other thing that someone has suggested is to put a toggle switch on the ignition wires further down the loome so even if the unplug it it wont start without finding where the switch is and turning it on

I am pretty glad I havent got the worry of people hanging around mine etc, when parked at home or work, it isnt good at all though as you know, maybe you should invest in a ak47 lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!
