the best way to get stickers off anything is to cover it in mayonaise and leave it for about 30 mins to soak in, then it should all scrape off with a credit card or something similar (not metal cos it will scratch)

Something to o with the oils in the mayonaise apparently (found this tip on "how clean is your house" and it does work!

Fray ..

Bikes a Minter ... well looked after, proper knobbly shod, trail bike  !

Hairdryer is KING for stickers like you said, just warm em up & when it's time the edge lifts with your nail easily, then gently / slowly  pull
while keeping heat on bit that's coming off !
Never leaves a mark ... [did some on mine yesterday that had been on 3/4 years !]

I think the YZ stickers look pretty good on there, but it's like you say, get kn0bheads commenting .. [kn0bs, who have never had a bike of any kind, but who's brothers, cousins, mate .. used to have a CR 125 .. an' it did 115 mph etc etc ..no] ...
It's a bit like having GSXR stickers on a GSX F teapot blankstare ...

Keep up the gucci polishing !

Hell, i even like the look of your pa's Harley biggrin

There's a time and a place for mayonaise ...
[just as there is for High Spec' / Gucci Yoghurt blankstare] ...

... and my DT's panels ... It Is NOT ... !

How Clean Is Your House ????

Would i take advice from the Fat Knacker with the Beehive Hairdon't & the Jungle Losing Credentials ?  .... I think Not disbelief

Anyhow .. how's Mayonaise gonna soak through plasticised waterproof stickers ?

No offence meant m8 ... But Mayonaise ?

Cheerz for that simon i try my best to look after it! Yeh i love my dads harley im still waiting for him to offer me a go tho! LOL

Im still in two minds about the YZ stickers. One day i want them off and the next i like them again, lol!! Think im gonna leave them on for the time being!

It sounds like you have met the same type of ****s that i get round my estate then buddy!! As you say there all the same, typical chavs that think they are ricky charmicheal because they used to know someone who had a CR 125 that had gold sparkly power bands!

Think ill give the mayo cleaning tip a miss!! It would have to be industrail strength mayo to get thru the plastic waterproof decals!!!! LMAO....

Went over the quarry by me today on my DT where i used to take my pitbikes so got a few pics!! Went up and down a few of the hills but didnt attempt the massive ones i used to blast up on my thumper, to scared of scratching my bike if i dont make it and drop it lol, didnt give a toss on my pitbike!! The DT flew up the hills i did go up tho.

Also just ordered a new chain and front and rear sprocket for my bike as im getting a nasty clicking from my chain.

YZ stickers Do Look Good on there !

Leave em' on if your happy with em' .. [i like em' !]

95 % of people who see your bike won't know any different anyhow [joe public] ..

Quarry shots are ace, we had a quarry like that near us when i was a kid .. but they filled the water in when i was about 19 ? ... I used to rag a Honda 90 plaggy grandad round it as a kid, then a XLR125 .. etc etc ... Never gave a
sh@t about coming off !
Went back years later on me' DRZ .. Just like you, shiny shiny, was timid as hell as didn't want to bin it & scratch the bike !!!

It's also how i ended up with two fuggin DT's ... one for trail riding / crashing / pi$$ing about on & a shiny one for gucci trips to chip shop !! rofl.gif  I Bought the old un first, and made sure it wasn't pristine, as i knew i wouldn't dare rag it off road !
F*cking Barmy really, but there you go confuse

Next time knob chav say's ... 'Vat's Nor'a YZ' ....
Just say ... 'What ? Really ? The bloke that sold me it assured me it was an ex McGrath Works Machine ?? I paid 6 grand for it ... Is it not a YZ 850 ??? Jesus, i been robbed !

PS ..
It's shocking how GOOD DT's are as an off road bike ...
Not for big jumps & $hit, as the suspensions a bit weedy, but if you fit some decent tyres & gear em' down ... they are a superb for messing about on !

Thanks for the comments.

Hehe that same thought about having 2 dt's has crossed my mind aswell simson! Tried to talk myself into it but common sense won in the end, lol!

Yeh dt's are good offroad bikes for messing about on and trail riding like you say but not so good for motox, front forks are soo soft! Tyres do play a big part ive got a bridgestone tw302 on the rear which is a trail tyre but leans towards road use and its very poor on wet grass or mud, actually there not very good on grass or mud at all. Decent on gravel or dry dirt. They are great on road tho.

haha id love to see the chavs face if i said that!!!

Right well today my mate came round my flat to use my shed as a spray booth to spray some stuff for his car so while he had all his stuff out i thought id paint my rear peg hangers because they had started to rust a little bit. I thought id try them silver to see if i liked it, im not 100% sure tho. Im thinking about trying to get a paint match from the frame and do them blue.

What do you lot think?? Do you like the colour and what colour do you think i should have?

Heres a couple of pics.

Also my chain and sprockets arrived today so ill get them fitted asap!

The small number plate came spare with the bike. When my bike was nicked they ripped the standard one off so i stuck the small one on.

Its 6x4 inches you should be able to get one online.

Gave my bike a good clean today ready for the new wheels to go on next week, thought id take some decent pics with my Dads Leica camera. Gonna mint the inside of the swing arm and bits i cant reach when i get the wheels off. (Didnt bother cleaning wheels as they are coming off in a few days anyway)!

Proberly the last pics ill take with the enduro wheels on! Was gonna keep the enduro wheels and swap over when i wanted to go offroad but have changed my mind, gonna keep the dt MINT and get me an 85cc / 125cc moto x bike when i can afford it.

Sooooo cant wait to get the supermoto rims on now.

Looking good mate smile.gif Will look good with the supermoto wheels one.. are you gonna put new fork spacers in and tighten the shock to make it more road bias aswell?

Oops, is that from having it on the tabs? to make it higher?

Cheerz craig, urs back on road yet?

No its coz my L plate is stainless steel and quite heavy it couldnt cope with the weight!

Im gonna get the wheels on and see how it handles if i wanna stiffen the front end up ill look into my options.

Yeah it is mate, just the other day! Its so good to be back on the road.... no more walking for a while :D

Ahhh right, fair one, my mates L plate has snapped his number plate off more than once! (with metal on the stiffen it lol)

Yeah its worth doing mate, corners so much better now ive changed the spacers in my forks. Sure would go well with sm rims smile.gif

Love the coloured spokes :D

Fair play, yeh its ace to get bk on road ay it, i was banned for a year b4 was a rite bastard!

Im pretty sure i will wanna stiffen up the front, mite look into some heavier fork oil aswell as spacing my forks out.

Yeh the coloured spokes are ace, they change colour as you look at them from different angles aswell!!

Well i got the tyres fitted onto my supermoto wheels today and got em fitted to the bike am really pleased with them.

The only thing is the rear tyre profile is a tad high for my likeing but it was the nearest size to what i wanted at the tyre place as i had part worns fitted.

Honest comment wanted please. Thanx

Will upload a few more pics later taken with my Dads digi camera.
