No gloss here i'm afraid but it's better than before:

This is after a clean up, forgot to take one before i started but it was covered with flaking rust and looked dirty.

I have removed this pipe as i'm aware it is a restriction:

Is it best to weld the the hole on the pipe and stick a bung in the hose? Or just stick a metal bung of some sort in both?

hey guys, anyone know what size exhaust gasket is needed for a DTX 07. My yam dealer told me 43mm but he didn't sound too sure and i can't seem to find any info on the correct size. Is it measured by the inside or outide diameter?

My exhaust is currently off the bike and now that i'm back home i'm going to put them back together tomorrow. It looks like the gasket has fused itself to the front pipe, is this normal? Do you think hammering it out is a good idea? Cheers

Yeah it will be tight to the pipe, get something under it to get it off. Not a clue what size yours is my dt is an x reg and its 46 mm. Try www.wemoto.com select your bike and then if they got one have it off them the parts i've had off them were gen yamaha parts

Cheers woll i'll give them a go, picked up one in the end from my dealer but 43mm turns out to be too small i think. I just want to check something here:

Does the gasket look like it's there?

Cheers bud, upon further inspection this morning it turned out it was in there. I'm such a nooooob lol, pulled it out with a pair of pliers. After a measure 46mm is what i need.
