Used to use castrol 2t scooter ran both my 2 stokes on it never had a problem. But i went to bike shop the other day (norm get 2t oil from petrol station) and asked for some there and they gave me some silkolene comp 2 plus (race). I think the bike runs better a lot better runs sweeter on tick over and smells great :D quite a few lads on here use comp 2 injector

To wake up this tread: The one you pictured; this is Fuchs / Silikolene. Fuchs is one of the largest manufacturers of vehicle oil (OEM producer for several brands, like GM/Opel/Vauxhall, VW/Audi, and more), and in general quite good quality. It will surprise me if this isn't more than good enough for a standard 2-stroke. If you have a heavilly tuned engine, you might consider more professional stuff. My personal choice is Royal Purple, but I dont know if you get that brand in UK.

Yeah I bought a job lot of the stuff to use in my 250 mx bike, but I thought I'd pop some in the DT to see what it runs like, to be honest its running pretty sweet at the moment! I'll be back on the Castrol TTS when the load I've got in at the moment runs out.

My 250 has a mechanical powervalve that you have to manually adjust, so it's never bothered me.

Needed to get some yesterday, went down Halfords and behind the gold bottle scooter stuff I found some Gold Castrol 2t race full synthetic.....smells nice, and the bike runs smoother off the throttle now with a definate increase to acceleration.....my dad was like oh thats a load of bs but after topping up i noticed a BIG difference from the TTS. So if you guys are thinknig of getting a good oil i'd highly reccomend it for sure!biggrinbiggrin

I can't bring myself to get fully synth, have heard it causes more wear and tear. Isn't it really only meant for race engines anyway?

Well bummed out castrol stopped the semi TTS, on plus though the race bottle is £2 cheaper than before.

To save making a new thread does anyone else use this:

Silkolene_Race_Comp2_Plus_1L_Motorcycle_Oil.jpgIf you do could you give a link to where i can get it from, as usually get it for around £15 on ebay but only ones on there at the minute for £20?? saves a bit of money if i can get it cheaper elsewhere ay ;)

Cheers

Used that for years, swore by it, but i've changed to the off road version because it's half the price and exactly the same, spoke to alot of local mechanics and they say there is absoloutley no point in running the race oil as it's a total waste of money. same bottle just has an orange sticker on the front with a mx dude on!
