Hi guys, new here and may seem a bit cheeky as its my first post asking a technical question......... BUT....... im at my wits end with this DT. Got it a couple of weeks ago and was told the water pump has gone. Thought " nae bother ", but it wasnt to be. How the hell does it come out ? Ive got a spare complete bottom end, with a working water pump in it, and thought it would be an easy swap over. Im not using the spare engine though as the gearbox is humped. Please please help this noob out.

Cheers guys,

Andy........

anyway swapping the engine is a big job for some one that is not mechanically minded and doesnt have a clue what there doing? also im sure that if its just the water pump u need theres no need to change the whole bottom end

the pump is built into the clutch case., its driven my a plasic cog, from the main crank shaft. u will need to take the clutch cover completely off.

Look in side and will see the plasic cog for the water impeller. a small clip holds the cog to the shaft, u undo this and pull the impellar out. Then u see a small rubber seal. This one would need replacing.
