HI GUYS I GOT A PROBLEM ONE OF THE WIRES BROKE THAT WENT TO THE LITTLE BLOCK AT THE SIDE OF THE FLY WHEEL SO I TOOK IT OF TO SOLDER IT BUT ONE OF THE SCREWS FELL INTO THE FLYWHEEL SO HAD TO TAKE THAT OF ASWEL AND THE DUM THING IS I NEVER MARKED IT BE4 I TOOK IT OF DOES THE FLYWHEEL NEED TO BE IN A CERTAIN PLACE BECAUSE I PUT IT BACK ON AND GRANNYS CAN TAKE OVER ME NOW I JUST HAVE NO POWER AT ALL AND THE ENGINE KINDA SEEMS LIKE ITS MISSING ANY HELP WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED THANKS
Before you go buying away, take it apart again, check everything is set up perfect and that nothing is missing. If the woodruff is missing then obviously your going to have to replace it... but always buy geniune Yamaha parts like this.
Go to/ring up a local yammy dealer they will sort you one out....... will be expensive mind, always is
Woodruff wont be expensive its a cheap item. Yes it will severely affect the running. The key is only there to get the flywheel fitted in the right place (for the timing) it is NOT there to stop the flywheel spinning, the taper fit does that and when its all tightened there is no stress at all on the key / keyway. When / if you make one you need to make sure that the flywheel is on the taper properly because if tho get it wrong...ie the temporary key is too big then you will **** up your keyway damage your crank and regret you ever tried the temporary fix.

i think i will leave it then untill i get the proper one i will goto main dealer 2mora see if i can get one thanks m8
I think thats the best way if you can aford to be without your bike. But why not look for the old one, like i said on the floor of stuck inside the flywheel. If you think about it for a minute, it WAS running well before you took it off so most likely the key was fitted if you see what I mean.
