So the headlight comes on when engine isnt ticking over but when you start it the headlight goes off? Normally the sidelight comes on until you start it up, then after you've started her up the headlight comes on, wierd thing is that if you start the engine and then use the killswitch instead of the ignition the headlight stays on lol confuse Your best bet might be to take it back to wherever it was so called "fixed" and explain to them your problem and it's only happened since they tinkered with it

Be sure to take off the pillian pegs as well otherwise you might get a kn0bhead cop pull you over and you might get a warning, fine, points or what not lol

Really! I nearly got caught giving my mate a lift to the other side of a village, couldn't prove it so all was well, surely they can't do you for just having the pegs!

Lol, well somewhere in the road traffic act it says motocross type bikes that are only suitable to carry one person and dont require pillion pegs. So to make it suitable to only carry one person i take off my pegs. And when i have to give anyone a lift i just bolt on the pegs and indicators (i dont even wire them up tbh lol)
But i'm sure 95% of coppers dont even know about it in the road traffic act,
Bare in mind though, if you do get caught giving your mate a backy on L plates i think it's classed as riding without insurance as your not insured to be carrying a passenger bleh

That's odd so even if you have a full licence you can't carry a passenger? What a load of bollocks!

It may not require pillion pegs, but that doesn't mean it's illegal to have them fitted!
Having a pillion (and being caught) will more than likely result in a fine and points for no licence, but it does sort of void the insurance. However, the insurance company will still be required to provide cover against 3rd party risk* so it's unlikely that you could be done for no insurance aswell.

*This is just what i read on another forum, but it makes sense.

You can carry someone if you have a full licence (like myself biggrin) But i assumed you as most others on here have a learner licence lol, especially since it's a 125 and most people when they pass their test go for something with abit more poke. Like i did until it got nicked disbelief

But if you are a learner you CANNOT carry a passenger on your licence, no if's no buts it's illegal and you will probably get into the whole "no insurance" situation because as a learner your not allowed to backy anyone so insurance companies cant insure you if you do have an accident,

If you have your full licence you can carry passangers if there is enough space on the seat, has pillion pegs, and has indicators, also when insuring yourself there is normally a question that says "will passengers be carried?" and if you click yes it tends to cost about £5-10 more if your young, or if your an old timer then it usually dont come at an extra cost,

About the 'no indicators on a motocross type bike' topic, my MOTer basically says i dont have to have indicators if it isnt suitable to carry a passenger, but if you do get caught with no indicators and have passenger pegs then surely it's suitable to carry more than one person confuse

I take off my indicators and pegs to keep them clean and unbroken for when i sell the bike. Since im always going into the woods and smashing into tree's they dont tend to last long lol

Very long post i know, but hopefully i got my point across. Steve smile

That has cleared everything up :), I wanna do my full licence as sonn as possible just the money lol as for the indicators i'll fix them at some point but if i don't really need them then no rush i guess i kind of want an re for green laning but i suppose i do like the x for some good road cornering :P
