having a quick look on google, i think the 3rm represents some code associated to the dt and the 00 could be the year. ie 2000

I cant guarantee that it's off that exact year but.. In the 'gut or not to gut sticky' it isn't mentioned and DeeTee said that his didn't need cutting open because his was the older restriction
And mine was the newer restriction (cat convertor) So by the process of illimination it seems that yours might possibly be the one in the middle (the one with the half moon things)

Just try and hammer google and find out, or wait for some others to reply

I read that "to gut or not to gut" thread! Thats what pointed me towards it being around the 2000 sort of year.

The thing is its already been cut open and re welded but the drop in performance ive had since putting the standard one back on is making me think its still got somet inside it. Im struggling to get to 75 now and b4 i could go off the clock easy also its not revving freely and wont hit the redline where as b4 it would go right into the red.

Im gonna get someone to have a look at the dep next week so fingers crossed it can be fixed ill be gutted if it cant! Ill get a pic up later.

Thanks a lot bud

If it has a plastic cover (Leg protector thingy) on the exhaust then it probably does have a cat (unless it's already been gutted) As the fittings for the metal covers and the plastic covers use different mountings. But as i've already said in the ''to gut or not to gut'' thread my numbers for the exhaust and that it did include a cat. The numbers are infact different to frays so i'm quite positive it isn't the one with a cat fitted

My exhaust defo didnt have a cat, my exhaust has a perforated leg protector cover which were on pre RE & x bikes.

As promised, 3RM 00 Exhaust. Has one full restrictor ring on the downpipe, only one ring and no CAT

Guys, didn't realise the deadening has to come out too?

Checked the inlet and couldn't see any additional insert, thats just on pre 99 exhausts

Callum, personal preference mate, i want the bike to stay looking standard and this was free to do, not a hundred and odd quid

There is one where it bolts to the engine too,,,the small pipe inside can be cut out,,like 3 lil welds and it's done.even the early one has sound deadening stuff to be taken out to be full power,,like the mesh stuff in the above pic,,it all has to come out

Lol

To be quite honest, for the work needed to do this mod it's rather pointless and better off buying a DEP. I mean at least the DEP looks nice.

Ive got a 3mb exhaust that's either been gutted before or just doesnt have any restrictors in. I've recenty gotted rid of my DEP in favour of this and it seems alot faster.

Although I've also pegged open my powervalve soo...
