Does anybody know how to tune my power valve up to get maximum performance?

either pin it with this guide


or use the adjusters, but be carefull as you could make it worse.

basicly you need to adjust it till the powervalve is flush with the port.

Which isn't the best advise... if you're using the power valve servo, etc. use the pin hole and the slot in the pulley wheel to set it up. Believe me - I spent a few hours on a dyno trying to maximise output power and well I'll be - Yamaha do know what they're doing after all!!

There are a couple things in the tuning guide which are rubbish. The bit about modifying the inlet manifold is the biggest load of ****e you'll ever read on the internet. On the same dyno I tried both a cut and uncut one. The uncut one gave a power increase of exactly -0.07 bhp.

lol! got any dyno graphs of things you've tryed out?not the most laughable 'forum mod' i've seen out there though

depends what year you have i suppose, friend had a tzr with a pinned powervalve and it was quick as feck!
