bike cutting out when put in to gear

right lads i have jut sorted my dtr as a field bike and it starts and runs till i put it in to gear and it cuts out i am no expert on wireing at all so realy lost cam some one put a pic of a diagram or explain to me how to solve this

sound to me like theres a fault on the wires that connect to the stand or did connect to the stand
