Am I right in thinking that the only difference between a dt 3mb00 engine and a tzr 2rh00 is the gear box ratio ie no difference in stroke, port diameter ect as I'm thinking of using a tzr 125 giannelli exhaust on my bike. any help would be much appreciated.

A 2 stroke is very much the same.

Would look rubbish. Just gonna throw it out there. They look so silly with underhanging exhausts.

tiny difference in stroke and bore, less than a mm in it (0.7 in the stroke i think), same with the first year of dtr, no problem using the exhaust off any of them, its the total inlet length and area which would make a difference with the spannie anyway, i've always wondered about pipes like that one though as the stinger is massive in theory it would have less dense gas as less pressure so i'd have thought it'd struggle sending back as much charge, though would rev easier as freer flowing and less likely to melt a piston

All the dt pipes stick out to much without the rad scoops, as i'm going for 70's retro look this is the better of two evils

I thought that the TZR had slightly hotter port timings etc to the DTR, and that the stroke is different on the early engines.

Pipe will look erm different underslung - like a Jap supermoto
