hi ive got a gilera gsm 50cc with a complete usd front end on it, i was wondering if anyone had one a transfer of this front end onto a dt125 or anything similar.
please HELP!!
Ive just measured the steering tube lengh and there are both 7 1/2 INCHES.

lol its just sat in my shed rotting so i thought i might give it ago, just wanting to know if anyone else has had any success with same or other similar bike.

chances are it may not have been done, but since the stems are the right length you might get away with taking up the tollerances with bearings and shims on the stem or maybe have to have the dt stem pressed into the gsm yoke

Sounds like you need some new bearings which match the gsm on their inner diameter and the dtr on their outer - go down to your local bearing shop with the sizes and see if they can help you out.

lol this snow is horrible i still havnt got around to tofitting the forks all i can do is measure up. ive managed to get a brembo brake for the forks that fit and measured up the bearings which im going to fit as soon as the snow clears up.

the top bearings were fine from the dt but the bottom were a bit more of a challenge in the end i had a bearing race specially machined to accompany the gsm bottm bearings.
