is that going in a dt? nice looking rotax motor a bit retro with the piston porting though, is that crank stroked or just well balanced? i'm guessing theres a water jacket to go round the chamber, separate combustion chamber is pretty cool

nope it going into my rx the porting in the piston is to aid the fule/air entering the cilender the barrel is a polini 154cc i should see over 30hp with this setup

yeah, you get less port area like that though and restricted a bit on inlet timing compaired to crankcase induction, i do like the build quality on rotax motors though on big rotax thumpers i've had the engines were made so belt and braces you could comfortably run massive power without a problem

Have you ridden one yet with a Polini bbk?

I only ask as when I had my old RS125 I was tempted to stick one on but decided (due to funds) to go with a Mitaka kit.

not with this engine

i sold the old engine from the bike to a lad with an rs for 250 so building the new engine has cost no more then 350
