How strange...just came on here to post the exact same thing!! I'm thinking salt from roads...? Only thing that i can think of lol

ye hes probably right dont use wd40 though use a degreaser and then use a grease rather than a solvent.

Mine dose this as well. It was fine But I took her for a spin around the tracks and come home an then cleaned her.. after that the rear shock started Squeaking so I guess It mist be the shock gettin wet.

My'ne also did this but it has stopped know...it started doing it in the winter so it could be the salt as you have said mate!

Just grease it all up and it should stop over time hmm

mine did this, so i revved harder and couldnt hear it anymore. :P

put a little bit of grease on the center shaft bit on the shock, and if u can get hold of a grease gun and lube all the rear sus properly at the grease nipples instead of spraying ****e all over the place it wont do anything coz all the moving parts have seals n thtll stop the spray getting to it, once u push a load of grease throgh it all itll stop for sure

When i Bought my bike it had the same squeak.
It had been garaged for 3 months previous and my mate tryed wd40 but still no luck. About a week later i washed it with a pressure washer all over as it was coated in allsorts. Didnt get back on the bike till about a month later and the sound had dissapeared. I still have no idea wtf it is but i didnt replace anything, just gave it a clean!!

I know that last reply come before 3 years, but I had same squeaky noise coming from rear shock. Actually rear shock was not a problem. Squeaking was coming from place where rear forks(I hope it is correct term) are attached to frame near engine block. Just put some WD40 on that place and no more squeaking. I hope that solves yours problems or anyone who will have it.

I did have a video of it. If it is anything like mine then it is the swingarm spindle. Mine went away when I removed the swingarm and greased it all back up.
