Hello, can anyone tell me if the above type(3sh) with 33hp standard has the same cylinder and piston as 4gw-(9-15hp)

The cylinders have different porting AFAIK but you shouldnt have a problem fitting a 4gw cylinder, you'll drop a few BHP though i'd imagine.

Thanks alot, then the piston should also be the same? There are not many info for spareparts on this bike.

with dt's and tzr's etc there is two different strokes so therefore two different standard bore sizes, if the strokes are the same off both the motors then the bore will be the same, also some barrels are nicacil plated and some have iron liners, the later can be rebored and may be a different size

as a extra note if you have to get a different size piston off a different model it will fit on the conrod fine as they all use the same smallend.

do use what i said to check first so you don't end up with the wrong piston though!

Now I have got the new piston, its the same size at the rod and length. But I can see the porting is a little different, the rear port is bigger at the new piston. Have cut a bit in the new piston so the port in the side is almost the same as the old piston.
