damn, i bought/fitted a Acerbis DHH ("Alien eye") headlight... means i've removed sidelight... is this one not road legal? It's pretty bright.. thats for sure.
Think im gonna do abit more digging about on this.
I have just read that you do not need a sidelight on a motorbike. Only if the there is a side light switch fitted to the bike and it does not work then you will need it.
The hazards on my bike dont work but not all bikes have hazard lights and it is not a requirement, so mine would fail simply because the switch is there and nothing happens.
I might be wrong tho.
Is your headlight E marked??

I don't see any markings on it appart from some dots and the company name in the back... went out on it lastnight and it's shyte, the light only went about 4ft infront of me, if that and that was with both bulbs on highbeam
Will deffo take the bike back to the same place then when I get it mot again, all they seemed to care about was lights working, and tyre depth thats it
If indicators are installed they 'have' to be working, same with lights, if they're there, they gotta be working, also if you're insured to carry pillion, and you don't have indicators and are pulled and questioned about where they are, you can get in shyte/fined for that too, rider is-not allowed to use arms for signals when carrying pillion, it's nothing about the switches, your bike can actually pass MOT without any lights what-so-ever, but then it'd only be coverd for "day time use" only (evidently) not sure on the sidelight thing tho. I'm switching back to original headlight too tbh, I've lost too much of the DT look already, gotta keep something original :D
