Need a Speedometer for my dtr

Jus bought a dtr, 2000 model, couple days ago. the person i bought it off took off the speedo but i wanna get one for it, been looking at the internet but cant see any really, anyone know of any places or websites to get a working speedometer???

what else after buying thast would i need to connect that speedo to my bike?? dont know s**t all bout bikes mechanically :)

speedo drive if you havent got one on there it will be on the right hand side of the front wheel hub mait be left carnt remember at sec lol will look like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-DT125-3MB-SPEEDO-DRIVE-DT-125-/400155259339?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5d2b1cb1cb and you will need a speedo cable

Yeh they are spot on.
Loads of functions to fiddle with,the rev counter is well funky.

Cheers people, jus looked at that vapour speedo for the dt, looks pretty good, would i still need to get a speedo drive if i dont have one on my bike??

No mate,it has a sensor that goes at the bottom of the forks and a little magnet that you can fit to your disc.Piece of wee.

alright lads does any1 know if i fitted the vapour speedo to the dtx would i b able to use the rev counter? as i hate not having 1 thanks lads

Yes you can use the rev counter.There is a wire you connect which gives you the rev counter function,oh and an engine temp gauge.

There are 2 wires,one goes to earth the other you wrap around the HT lead.

vapor is the way forward imo. i have all intentions of getting one when i get paid, going to make an ali mount at work like the ones on the site :)
