Twisted forks

so the other day, i was going along, and some d*** decided too break really hard on a roundabout of all places. i was leaning a bit at the time so straightened up and put the brakes on, unfortunately, my front wheel locked up and i went straight to the floor, bike landed on my left leg but the boots took it all, just hurt my knees a little, thats all.
No damage to the bike apart from the handguards which just need to be tighetened and my forks are twisted so ive been told.

so my bars and wheel arnt in line with each other, i know its not my bars because they line up with my top yoke is it? My friend was there at the time and he knows what hes talking about and told me my forks are twisted.

Question is, How do i sort them out?

Thanks for any help.  :)

If they are just twisted you need to loosen the yokes and line them back up :)

Had exact same problem last week, except I was doing about 50 and hit a pothole/mud! Just loosen the clamps (yokes) that are on your forks, two on each fork, one up by the bars, other about 15cms lower then simply hold wheel between your legs and twist bars till they're straight then tighten and go for a little test run, if you're good tighten them back up fully :)
