up-jet till you get the right colored plug....will fix the problem!

If it dont, then it could be eating plug's, because it been ran to rich (2 stroke oil) worth thinking about you oil pump!

Im no expert but it sound's like it is the above ^ biggrin

Im no grease monkey mate so i am not 100% sure....but it does sound like it could be a possibilty because the oil pump is electronicllay controlled it could become faulty i guess causing to little or to much oil!

As i said im not sure, but someone on here will point out if i am wrong or not!

But i dont think it could cause it to cut out (unless it siezed) have you checked your HT lead...check every little things! Also have you checked the air fileter, if that is nakered then that could cause the problem! confuse

I would try the other guy's ideas mate ^

And if still no luck, you could alway's check that you'r float needle is all nice and clean! You should aslo check you'r YPVS (Power Valve) to see if it is all clean as that can cause a 2 stroke to run badly! no

If the oil pump is putting too much oil through there will be lots of blue smoke from the exhaust. It wont be causing it to cut out at high revs though. It does sound like a blocked main jet or possible fuel starvation. Try running it without the fuel filler cap on (as long as theres not too muchg fuel in it!) and see if that cures it. Good luck, hope this helps you.

who said the oil pump is run on electric made me crap up LOL

It runs of the throttle cable , the more you pull it the more it opens giving more oil.

Only way is if the cable was to long, saying that dnt think it can open much more ,:)

Rofl was gonna say thats slight bullshizzle, One of the new-ish sumo'd ktm's with mods can do 100mph so i HIGHLY doubt a dt with snorkie can do 95 ha...

What, my completely standard DTR with no mods does 150mph, honest! Oh sorry, I'm talking out of my arse again, silly me!

By the way, if you had upjetted to 260, removed snorkel, and blocked off the bottle attached to the carb intake pipe, fitted an aftermarket exhaust, trimmed the excess rubber off the inlet manifold, it would have been fiiiiiiine, that's how I roll :)
