so iv brought a big one pipe and i thought id give it the stubby treatment heres what iv done so far but its not finished yet sounds nice tho 

im not sure weather to polish it or leave it anodised??

Alright mate, think im gonna get this done to my re because it's jus too quiet its making it dangerous and wouldn't mind it sounding and looking nicer, only question is will it still pass through the mot with a stubbyd Dep pipe and if I was to
Get it done would you be able to do

hi m8 mine passed the mot with it stubbyed and my internals of the pipe wernt that great, with urs it should be no probs m8y

2nd pic tht bracket should be straight as ur not using it i can cut it flush or try bend it back? prob better off jus losing it tbh m8y

wkd glad u finally got it, thought it was never gonna get there lol!
it will sound alot better m8y, iv jus fitted a dep front pipe to mine and its quite good the powerband has been moved up higher in the rpm range and comes in more violently, but the sound is amazing with my stubbied big one rear pipe it is alot louder than before with the dep front, this dep front pipe i got is from an re and i might sell it on soon ill let u know reefman

lol yea man was well cheap,
its not in the best of conditions but its ok theres a smallish dent in it and has rusted a fair bit but its defo improved on power tht

 

tht pic u taken of it does look alot better than the ones i took lol alot better in natural light eh 

get it fitted man i wanna see it! lol

ahh well if you choose to sell it i might have it depending on looks,price etc and if i got the money to lol... so many things i could do with :)

Yeah thats what i thought, proper different from your pics

haha i already have but didnt wanna take a pic cus its in my shed and its too dark in there and the amount of chains and locks its effort to get it out jus for a pic :) tommorow i will tho and a sound test vid for ya

noob question lol but would the silencer burn/melt the fairing if it was slightly touching... got a dodgy fairing on that side which i need to sort out a bit cus it doesnt wanna sit properly after the previous owner melting the battery cover lol

yea it will melt it, on mine theres like a random flap inside of the panel just to sheild the battery area but all it done was melt a curved section into it so now the cover fits perfect around the pipe lol wer does urs touch? on a bit wer if it wer to melt ud see it on the outside or is it like mine?

oh right cool, guess i need to sort it out anyway.... but well you see that bolt (looks like a bolt from the pic lol) closest to the pipe which connects to the expansion, thats exactly what it sits on, and yeah think you would see it on the outside :)

oh yea i see, u might be able to cut off a bit of that heat shielding stuff thats on ur coolant bottle tank and glue it to the panel wer the bolt touches it that should protect it fine
