Guys how hard and what is involved to fit a kickstart to my RE?

What do I need aswell, obviously a Kickstart lol?

If u go to seikis project thread and urll see on the first page the first few pics of his engine in bits u can see the kickstart components still in the casing,

Looks pretty simple, just make sure you get all the parts (circlips etc)

You'll need the kick start, kick start mechanism, and the seal to go in the side casing. Well worth it IMO, trying to start my RE up from after 3 months was proving quite difficult with the kick start, so I'd hate to imagine how much pain my ears would have to go through if i was using the electric start!

cheers. I'm a have a ganders on eBay n see what sort of money I'm looking at.

Same happened to me gincat, 5mins of that sound is horrible and ended up draining the battery lol

I'm almost certain someone was selling all the lot on eBay for around £30, not too bad if you ask me. I went to a guy local to me and tried charging me £20 for the mechanism alone!

That should be fine, you need the seal too though.

In fact I've just remembered i also had to add another gear to the inside of the engine under the clutch, i think they call it an idle gear. You will also need that and some sort of clip that i have forgot the name of to lock that gear into place.. I'll try and find a listing and edit if i find one..
