I've managed to change the Light swtich from the old switches to a DT 2007 set by literally just cutting the old off and re-wireing the lot back together, finding which goes where, but it worked. I think this is actually all you can do, because the CDI plugs are different, and stator dosen't fit as stated and so are most other plugs different + ignition plugs are diff so you'd have to change that too ( I think there is 1 less wire for the "newer" DT Ignition ) IMO, it's too much hassle to do, I'd stick with the wireing loom you have now, just clean it up, add new plugs, get heatwrap, and shorten the cables if you can. But if you manage to get it done and working, I'd like to know, cuz it'd actually be pretty handy for me to do, my wireing is a complete shocker tbh
i have got the whole lot of a 2007 bike every bit is there so i put it on and i got every thing working i.e lights idicators ect but could not get any spark because of the stator is totaly different and the wires that charge the battery are different aswell.
