TDR Belgarda rebuild/restoration.

I bought a rolling TDR frame with V5 a few weeks back, the original plan was to get it up and running as cheap as possible to use as a commuter. Now i'm planning on a full restoration once i've got a full bike together. Looks like it's had a hard life.....

Once i got it home and had a proper go over it i could tell its had a knock in the past, it's been fitted with later model TDR forks and 18" front wheel and theres a little damage to one of the steering stops, all solid though.

I should have done a little more research before buying it though as its been a bit of a pain to find info and spares. I had a few bits sent over from abroad and managed to find a few bits over here but was still finding some bits hard to find. A write off came up for sale at a decent price so I eneded up getting that to use for spares.

I'm moving at the moment and can't find my camera but i'll post up some more pics when it turns up.

This is gonna be a pretty much standard resto, i'm planning on using it as a daily. The write off i've got for parts is a cat C so it can go back on the road, i'm planning on maybe doing something along the street fighter lines with that frame. I''ve got some TZR belgarda USD's i need to use...

I found my camera when I was moving out of my old flat and got a couple of pictures of my bike and the donor. I then packed the camera away and it's only just turned up today! I'll have to get a pic of it in it's current state as its somewhere in between the two...

... and one of how it would have looked many moons ago!

Right, this project's pretty much been on hold progress wise since i moved into my new flat. I do have some storage space but nowhere to actually work which is a pain in the arse.

I have been collecting parts over the past 12 months, including a DT230 motor, and i now have a complete TDR Belgarda, even if it is in pieces in three different locations! I'm planning on getting the assembly started in a couple of weeks so i'll get plenty of pics up when i do. I'm still undecided on wether i should go with the 230 motor or stick with the 125 one?

I've also got quite a large pile of spares. There's pretty much an entire DTRE/X in pieces, minus the frame, so those bits will probably be getting fitted to one of the 2 spare Belgarda frames i've got. The other frame will probably be made into some kind of TDR/DTR/TZR hybrid but i'll look more into that one once i've tackled the first build, as this has taken me long enough! I'll start a new thread for those if and when they do happen.

Maybe mate, i've got a TZR/SZR Banana swingarm i was thinking of using on the hybrid if i dont sell it. I'll have a look at the swingarms when i start this TDR build in a couple of weeks and get back to you.

They look nicer but i'm pretty sure they're heavier than the standard DTR swingarm as they're still made from steel.
