im thinking of trying to drop a 250 engine in this white 99 dtrs frame wouldnt mind a super power monster for the nice fields out back just an idea though the kx engine looks simalar does anybody know if it fits
i dought any engin with just fit in but i can just make brackets i no someone who put a xt660 engin in a cagiva mito XD
Afaik the mito is a bit of a different kettle of fish really, they are one of those bikes that set up well enough to take the extra strains and size of a bigger more powerful engine. There have been umpteen engine conversions on a mito, such as a Honda CR500 transplant, yamaha YPVS 350 engines etc etc, even the odd 4T lump. I haven't looked around, but someone may have transplanted a bigger/more powerful engine into a DT.
I'd be interested if you could pop a 250cc lump in the bike actually! If my Alfer VR250 engine was geared up to run right hand instead of left, I probably would have already done it lol

you got a point m8 i got a free personal welder anyway so i should be able to. its goin out for a play today anyway, now iv got it all working so destroying it most likley wont even be playin on my mind.. may just look at buyin a 250 offroader straight up when im a bit more sorted again
