Red overheating light

On the way home and to work today the little red light above the 60mph mark on the clock, (im guessing its the overheating light) flicked on and off a couple of times, only for a few seconds each time, just wondering what it could be? Anyone elce had this problem? Where is the sensor?

The coolant is flowing as my rad gets warm, and ive got coolant in it.

Also it happend most when i was going above 60 really, could it just be that its getting a bit too hot for a little bit when im nailing it.

Check if your oil is a milky colour mate. (gear oil) in the lil viewing window... also, keep an eye on your coolant resevoir. Your head gasket may have gone. even if you do have water in your Rad.

If your head gasket has gone. get it done as soon as possible mate or youll be looking at a top end rebuild instead.
