on saturday i went to my local yamaha dealer and ordered some new tank plastics for my dt 125 re 07 model, as i am making my bike black i asked if i would be able to get them in black
he said im not sure i will check your frame number.
after about half an hour he said yes i can get them and yes in black so i payed for them. £25 each!
i got a call the afternoon saying that they had arrived and to come and pick them up when i got there and they handed them over they were blue...
so i told the guy and said i specificly ordered black and you had to check if you could get them but they said well they only come in the colour specified for the frame number and that i cant get a refund or a swap because they are from holland.
i want to petrolbomb them to be honest mite aswel have stole £50 from me
so if anyone are thinking of buying some blue plastics for the newer model DT's i am wanting to sell them and are open to offers.
As you can see they are in the origional packaging and are still sealed.

They CAN return them that's BS. They shelf it and re-order or give you your money back .I've done it a few times now and all my bits come from Holland being a 89. In fact I have a airbox side panel that had to be re-ordered and I'm waiting.
Add to the fact you specified AND the fact you dont HAVE to accept what's for your model only. Man theres all kinds of wrong going on. If I were closer I'd flucking come with you and siht on someone!!!
I would recommend everyone read up on their consumer rights. Basically you have ordered something with the intention if it being a particular colour. The part has turned up, and is in fact the wrong colour. This item is then not fit for purpose, and it returnable within 28 days for a refund, or store credit. On the proviso you have a receipt. You still have all your consumer rights, once you begin talking about it to them in the shop.....Sh*t tends to get sorted! In fact, even better, find a page with your consumer rights on, print it off, and take it in and show them. However it isn't worth getting angry with them, that never solves anything. Calmly and politely express your rights and it should get you far. Don't budge, you shouldn't have to :)
