No spark, where to use multimeter?

Hey,

Had the DTR seize on me a while back, so dropped a new engine in for now but I'm having difficulty getting a spark. Now I'm pretty compitent with mechanics, but am totally lost when it comes to electrics.

Which wires do I check with the multimeter to check a current is coming from the stator? Any ideas on what else to check to work out where the problem is? Done the obvious like new spark plug, checked all connections etc.

Cheers,

Gaz

check that theres no damage to the pick up on the flywheel for the spark, like check the two wires are intact with no damaged to outer sheath wat so ever, and the pickup can be adjusted too try moving it closer to the flywheel? , u def got the orange wire from cdi to coil there? good clean earth under wer the coil bolts to the frame? and plug cap on the end of the ht lead is good?try cutting a bit off the ht and srewing the cap on a fresh bit, also dnt use those iridium plugs there ****e nothin but problems with them

i hate electrics aswell tbh but without it u got no engine lol

Cheers bro, turns out the stator was just plain knackered. Chucked one in from my old engine and it sparks up fine!
