Another bikes shock
Permalink

Hi all, do any of you have changed your DTs rear shock to another bikes? For example from Yamaha YZ or any other MX bike? I am not satisfied with my rear shock, it's too hard (it's from DTX though), I am looking forward to buy a new one for myself, but want something more serious, as I sometimes ride in local MX track.

Would like shock like that (no need for wp, ohlins etc..)

Thanks for help!

Hi again, have any of you done such conversion yet? I noticed an Aprilia RX/MX shock, it was said it's the same lenght as DT shock. Do any of you guys have a RX and could measure the rear shock? And take some pictures? I can't take it to ride with such stiff shock.
Cheers

Still no luck with this? Are you in the UK? If you are give Hagon a call, iirc they made an aftermarket shock for the DT. It wasnt cheap but looked that one above.

Do what I do, call and pretend the be really interested so they give you as much info as possible lol

Sadly, but I'm not from the UK. Are the DTR and DTX shock the same? Both of their shocks have red springs. I would buy one of DTR shock, but don't want to spend money, if they're the same.

I know it will, but is the same hardness? I need the shock to be softer.
