I know Seiki has made a sticky for how to post pics up on to the forum, but thats his preference of using Photobucket, over the forum way. A lot of newbies are coming onto the forum and by the looks of it are having trouble posting a pic up, some are half way there, but the pics they put up are attachments and you need to click on them to enlarge them, to be able to view them properly. Heres how I do it. Most pics of peoples bikes/ parts, are generaly taken by using mobile phones, and because of the technology of the cameras in the phones, most pics are in high definition and high megapixel count, because of this if you were to upload a pic taken from your phone, it would pretty much take the size of your screen much to big for a forum pic, so the first thing is to resize the pic you want to upload. Find the pic you want to upload, then right click on the file, click on 'edit'it should automatically open up microsoft paint, good next step. You should now be in paint, go to top of screen click 'image'then scroll down to resize and skew, click on that. a box will come up resize there is two settings horizontal, and vertical with both having 100% next to them, change the 100% to 20% (20% is good for me as I use iphone to take pics) in both boxes, then click 'o.k.' close paint down, it will ask you if you want to save it, you can either save it as a 'resize' or just replace the original pic. Now to upload the pic on to the forum. Open up your thread/reply just underneath the message box there are 3 options, attach poll,e-mail me whenever there is a new post to this topic, attach image(s), tick the attach image(s)box. New boxes will come up underneath so you can browse for your pic, you can browse then upload up to 10 pics at once, but the total must not exeed 9,765.6kb. I will be only uploading one photo, so I click browse then find the pic I want to upload. After finding pic, you'll have clicked open, and now the file will be next to the browse box.Underneath the browse boxes is an upload file(s) button, click on this. After a few seconds, above the browse boxes will apear Attached: "picname".jpg[remove] [insert] Leave this a minute we'll come back to this, You need to insert your text for the thread/ reply now, after doing that go back to the Attached: "picname".jpg[remove][insert]you are now ready to add the pic to your text, make sure your curser has gone to the end of your text then click "enter" this will insert your pic directly after your text, now click on the Attached: "picname".jpg[remove][insert]----------click on --[insert] -------
Tada!!!
Thats at 30% resize
Now most people don't click on insert, this will still upload your picture, but as a thumbnail size, that you'll need to click on to enlarge, as you can see this pic is plenty large enough to see o.k with out having to click on a link to enlarge it, as I said earlier I resize to 20% in paint you may need to make more i.e 30% or smaller i.e 10% depending on the megapixel size on your phone/camera.
Hope this helps some, Nev
