bit confused mate if u pin the powervalve open u wont need a servo and if u have a servo u cant pin it open as the powervalve moves with the revs

i disconected the servo and pinned the power valve open, but nothing,so i re set up the servo and still no powerbands,no kick,no boost, wham?the bike does about 75mph its got a 13 tooth sproket on the front and 45 tooth on the back,it goes ok,but i got the bike for the power bands, i wanted that extra kick for a bit of fun,but its just not there.ive had a compression test and its all fine?

75 isent bad outa it as there not made for speed but woth powervalve pinned open there wound be a powerband and when u turn the bike on can u hear the zii zii sound lol and try takeing the cover off the powervalve houseing and check that it turns when u rev it to around 6 or 7 thousand revs

yes m8 it turns when i rev it, and it turns when i turn the ignition on,its all workin as it should, thats why im wondering if it could be the carb or reeds?

erm, not gonna lie, i dont notice my powerband, got exactly the same set up apart from sprockets but, only get about 75. i can notice it... just barely. :/ kicks in about 6k revs for me. if you rev it high, and change gear, then sometimes you dont get the burst of power. because it stays open.

when i change gear in hi revs it doesnt lose much if any power,it goes through the gears quite quick, but i put that down to havin a 13 tooth sprocket on the front, when i build up speed in each gear there is no kick,i was hoping it would be a bit like a yz or kx(obviously not as much power)just not enough power?

I was going to suggest sprockets, but i'm running acceleration setup with my sprockets and it pulls like a train through the gears once i get between 6-7k reveries, top end is less obviously but it is rather rapid and ravenous, which i'm liking for now until i get my new standard sprockets for top end comparisons! winkwinksmile

you keep saying the reeds or carb mate but i doubt it, if your mate has a dt swap the carb and reeds over and see if it makes a difference if you really beleive thats whats up with it

for setting the ex valve ?

take the exhaust off and look up there towards the piston

then take off valve cover and adjust valve again until roof of exhaust port is flush and open fully
