Just bought a nice low mileage dt125r but the clutch cables quite stiff stiff when pulling the lever in so thinking of fitting a new one, lots for sale on e bay, are there any makes better than others i.e. the pattern ones,as i can't see any genuine yamaha ones on there.

Try lubing your cable up first! Rather then buying a new cable to find out it's still got the same problem.. It might be a problem with the clutch itself or the springs are 'heavy duty' or the simple explanation the clutch cable is grotty inside!!

just a thought.. have you checked the adjustment mark on the clutch arm

its got a line to mach upto on the engine casing

its just a quik check but can rule out alot of issues
