Has anyone tried vinyl or carbon wraping?

I bought a small sheet of carbon effect vinyl last week and I've just had a chance to play with fitting it to the front mudguard for my TDR project. It's not perfect and I think I'll re do it at a later date but you get the idea...

It's textured rather than just printed like the old stuff i remember.

I forgot to mention earlier, I'm thinking of doing the rest of the panels white but was thinking of doing it with vinyl rather than paint as its cheaper and easier to change, was wondering if anyone had any pics of theirs done?

Cheers for the link, I think the vinyl will go round the edges pretty neatly with a heat gun and a bit of practice. The other thing I've been looking at is called plasti dip spray but from what i can tell it gives a matt finish which I wasn't really after.

I'd love to get a pic of it fitted but I've not got any tools at my new place, i'll try and get this sorted asap though.

the problem i can see is, youll get carbo happy, end up putting it on loads of your bike, then think it looks gay later on, well, i know thats what would happen with me anyway. i think the front mudguard will look awesome in carbon effect.

I know what you mean, it would look pretty tacky with a lot of the bike done! I'm just gonna go with the front mudguard, less is more with this i think.
