Well ive noticed recently when i come to a stop my bike is leaking coolant just under where the stand is, i have to top up the rad every morning and evening before and after work.
Ive taken the thermostat out - still same problem
i checked the water pump was ok and its fine and turning.
i had the head gasket done around 1 month ago, if it was head gasket wouldnt there be problems stating the bike ? or any particular diagnosis for it?
the Expansion tank is FULL but the rad is near enough empty at the end of a ride, so maybe too much pressure ?
As you can see im confused and need some help fast before my bike blows up =)
mine does it to once again new top end gasket coming tomorrow an it'll be sorted ... my top end was done a week ago m8 its them cheap white top rings iv been through loads now sick off buyin em so this is gonna be the black yamaha top gasket this time see how this goes
I don't bleed it off everytime i refill it as im constantly refillng it, when its on tick over it doesn't seem to be leaking just after ive been riding it and e.g stopped at traffic lights or something.
Always go for Yamaha geniune parts yes its more expensive but will work out cheaper in the long run and less hassle ESPECIALLY when it comes to any gaskets on your bike

+1 Especially when it comes to the head gasket, i have a video on youtube called dtr head gasket comparison or something like that and you can hear the flimsyness of the cheap $h!t one!!
Cheers, im going to fit this myself, any tricks or tips to do it? also what if i dont find any problem with the old gasket? is there anything else it could be ?
no thats a dt LC complety different shape, dont re-use gasket, i did but i put some multipurpose grease on it to seal it , never let me down. shouldn't recomend it tho

I used to buy all my gaskets from the nearby Yamahaha dealer, wanted to charge me £15 for a cheapo headgasket or £9 for a genuine Yamaha gasket.. Guess which i went for? Oh and to be honest i've never used any sealer on my head gasket, just got the head skimmed and tightened each bolt to the recommended setting..
