1990 Engine Rebuild
Permalink

so my 1990 DTR decided to blow up the other day, it has done 29055 miles on the clock, but it spend 3 years without a clock. so whos knows how many running miles the engine has really had.

so i had a friend price up a for me
Rod Kit £58.00

Piston Kit £45.50

Press Balance £28.00

Gaskets £24.00

Main Bearing £36.00 for 2

Crank Seals £10.00

Total £201.50

does that sound about right? Am i missing anything?

i was thinking of getting this
Top Racing original crankshaft

For £108.00 which means i wont need Press Balance or Rod Kit. but its still about £20 more.

is it worth it?
the guy i know says he only uses good parts as he rebuilds 1960-70 Classic Trails bikes, i know he uses theese parts himself.
