This Question is a good one to ask. Not that I need one but sure as hell would like one. So.. I need to know what servo i'd need for my bike. Mine is a 51 Plate, so it should be a 2001?? having the right information is very inprortant as some people buy the wrong type. The question is a gooden but someone must know.

No. what happend was when my bike went to the garage to have full engine rebuild the servo packed up. so now im really wanting another having it pinned open at the mo is not all that.. might be better to have the servo back on. might start better as well.. coz its dies with or without choke unless i start to rev it. and in like 4th its a nightmare to get it upto 60 unless i change down and push that gear to 60 and then change.

If your bike is a 2001 model you need a 3 wire servo, up until 2003 I think it was then on a 5 wire servo.
The 3 wire servos were put on 97 bikes onwards up until 2003

2002 model 3 wire servo

2004 model 5 wire servo

The easiest way of checking is to go to your CDI, if you have an unplugged bullet terminal, black/yellow wire coming from it, and pretty close by to the CDI, but coming from the wiring loom, you see a female two pin plug, with a black and brown wire, doing nothing, then it's a 3 wire servo you need.

But take it from me, if its a 2001 model bike you have, its a 3 wire servo, I know this as I've researched as to which power valve servo to put on mine.
