Just replaced mine, and i was shocked at my old one, 6 of the spikes had snapped clean off and it was in horrid condition, anyone else has any similar issues?
Oh mate listen to this for a laugh when YAMAHA (local) had my bike and did some work to it with the clutch plates............Anyway I was about to change the front sprocket but rang Yamaha to just make sure what way you turn the nut infront of the sprocket, and then they said oh your the one with the black DT we had in the other day, I said thats right, and could you tell me what way the sprocket nut goes clock-wise or anti-clock-wise, only to get an answer back *****OH YES WE DID NOTICE YOUR SPROCKET HAD TWO TEETH MISSING OF THE FRONT SPROCKET***** But the *******s never did bother to tell me, tossers, lucky I did ring up but was changing it anyway, but I bet you the spikes on the sprocket are oppisite each other, so I been told if one spike goes the spike on the oppisite side of the sprocket will snap off too!!!!!
:o, that was lucky you rang up tho! scary thought tho i really didnt realise that the sprocket was in that condition till i took it off, did you got OEM or +1, -1 tooth etc?
