can anyone reconmend size sprokets to use am running a 15 tooth front at the moment not sure on the back think its just standard that comes with the bike as i was runing a 16 tooth front spocket but founf it boged down in 6th gear now it screams its head off in 6th and i have to change gear so quickly with 15 tooth spocket
basically if your stuck inbetween sizes on the front i think the old rule of thumb is that one tooth on the front is the equivalent of 3 teeth at the rear so you'll need to alter the size of that one, smaller you go on the rear the higher the top speed and bigger for lower (opposite to the front basically). Though from experiance with my dt the closer you get to having the max gearing to get it to top out without it bogging you'll suddenly come across a really windy day and still end up having to ride in 5th so i gear a little low now.
i had that before i had to drop it into 5th if strong wind or slight hill i was running 16front and a 57 rear then am running a 15 front now 57 rear but i find this abit to low what are you running on yours ?
