hi people!!!, does anyone know how to do wiring on a 1998 dt 125r, a bought the bike as a runner but guess what I got ripped off royally!!! spent a fortune on engine, new bearings, seals, conrod, crankshaft!!, just rebuilt whole bottom end and I thought would see if a spark but none, does the wires on the head stop it from sparking coz not got head on yet just worried, nae good with electrics

mate the HT cap go's on the spark pug for it to sprak put it on the side of the cylinder and kick it to see if you go a spark. If no spark try an new HT lead with new cap. also get a new plug just to be on the safe side. if no spark then there is something wrong with your wiring somewhere.

ave tryed puttin ht lead against frame wi plug in it but nae joy, the boy i bought it from ses sumthin about a centrofugal spark? dinna ken wot that means. there is 2 plugs on the powervalve side  with wires would they have to be connected to make a circuit hoping the guys not nade a arse of wiring like he did the rest o bike

take some pics of your Loose connectors and you coil , when was it running last

If I were u I'd strip the bike rewire it and then see what u got left over. But there needs to be a spark no matter what. Or like the onlyway said take some pics but there aint no halm in tryin a new htlead an plug. At least ud have a spare for anytime u need.

Get a multimeter and check the stator if thats ok check the coil, silly one but is the switch on run on the handle bars? some times its hard to see the spark and looks like it isnet sparking
