ok guys so im joining the DEP crew haha, but what options are there for heat shields for the aftermarket pipe? i really dont want to go melting my gorgeous boots, or my leg for that matter :/

Hmmmmm whenever I had my DEP on I never burnt my leg, even when I was giving backies..
Burnt a bag though once, put it on the right handlebar and it dangled down and melted the f*ck out of it.. Think it was polyester or something like that..
Just don't wear trackie bottoms when giving someone a lift and you should be alright haha

You gonna leave it chrome or spray it black?

You wont need one mate because the expanny is right at the front of the engine and had a long thin pipe where your leg sit's! It's really hard to explain but when you fit it you will know what im on about haha. & dont forget to up-jet dude, i will put money on it you will love the full dep system sounds sweat when you take snorkel; off airbox and do the wire mod!!!!!

I have no idea what to upjet to since i'm 99.9% sure it isn't even required,
And the green/black wire mod behind the clocks? Please don't say you've been riding around with it as standard blankstare
Infact to have been over 60MPH you/someone must have done it, my RE was struggling to hit 50MPH with the wind in my face..

i hit 77 on morotway other night with me and jamie on so thats me at 11 stone and him at 15 or something
dont think the bike is really lacking any power, and i dont have the standard speedo anymore?

To upjet just do a plug test, the bloke at bike shop said he had to go 4 jets above the stock jet!!! And for the wire mod do a little search on web there are full step by steps somwhere. And if you have put aftermarket clocks on you should have the block connector still with the wire you need to earth as it is part of wire loom I'm sure! And if it isn't already done you will have a shock makes a big difference IMO with the full dep system on.

i can not remeber 100% but it took my DEP about a week to come from Adrealin! Just give them a ring mate.....

If you not got one then just use anything mate as long as it blocks it off and wont come out!

ok fitted the exhaust and it hasn't made any difference just makes a tinny noise at 6k rpm
bunged up the pipe thing too :/ starting to really think £250 down the drain guys cheer me up someone and tell me i have put it on upside down or something :'(

I think the pipe just alters the power delivery if i,m not mistaken i don,t think you will gain anymore power from it

The dep works wonders wen you DO THE WIRE MOD!!!!

When you have done the wire mod, do a plug check and up-jet to what you need. And you will luv your dt even more!

ok getting steve (xGINCATx) to do the wire mod thing sometime this week hopefully,
also what is ment to join the expanny and tailpipe? because its just slotted together atm and its spluttering oil

I never bothered with one but you can get rubber seal things to stop the oil leak.

Get something to catch that oil and recycle it into your 2 stroke container wink

Erm really I think there is supposed to be a rubber thing to join it together..
I had my big one and DEP slotted onto each other and it never leaked.. Maybe cause they were already clogged full of sh!t!!

ok took the snorkel off today, what difference does that make? more air, if so i would need to upjet to compensate?
