You're probably going to laugh now, I removed the kickstart to loose weight, 89DTR so no leccy start, I had to bump start it every time I wanted to use it, I think the kickstart will fit but you will really have to check, maybe someone here has a new and an old motor and could tell you the difference and what you may need extra, I think I read another thread about it somewhere on here, as for the petrol cap I really dont know what you mean, could you post a link or something?

The dtre/dtx has the ability to fit a kick start as you will know there is a black blanking plate there. Im not 100% sure what year will fit the dtre/dtx's but im pretty sure that it will fit. Im sure all dtr/re/x's use the same bottom end just different heads? So should fit straight in no problem but as i said im not 100% sure dude. hmm

Kickstart conversions can be done on DTRE/DTX
Very simple if you can remove and reinstall the clutch, but that link is missing the idler gear which sits behind the clutch
