I am looking for a bit of advice my DT125r only revs to about 8 thousand and tops out at just over 70mph its got a full Dep exhaust but apart from that its standard i heard that they are restricted at the rev counter is this an easy job to take on or should it be left  for motorcycle shop, Any info on the subject would be great.

What year/model you got?
Looks to me like it's a 01-03ish model, there should be a reed block(I think that's what they call it) behind your speedo
Pull it out, tape over the hole it left, and insulate the glass looking fingy-ma-bob (reed block (also looks like an electronic fuse if that helps any))
Don't be cutting any wires, just tape it up and tuck it out of the way

I did it on my 03 model back in the day and I barely felt a difference tbh..
Good luck

Yeah thanks for that, it has been a while since I did it on my 03 model.. About 4 years to be honest and it's not really one of those things you do more then once..
Plus I doubt he'll be able find a reed block behind his clocks wink

It's supposed to limit the bike over 60mph or something but if I'm 100% truthful I didn't feel jack ****!
I only ever felt a difference on my 04 with the earth wire mod but unfortunately you can't do that cry
