RE: DTX/RE Rear mudguard (modifed)

Made a few phonecalls today and fabrications are in the final stages and i have a price for the mudguards now.

In the next few weeks ill be listing them on Ebay in black and Blue only for the time being.They can be fitted with or without the grab rail ,although with it fitted it provides good fixing points for the Led rear lights,tailtidys etc.

Final mudguard photos will be available as soon as i get the finished item through from the manufacturers.

The price is going to be £36 + £4 pp on Ebay.

Forum members i like will be discounted with free postage.

I know its not the price some people were hoping for but production cost have been a fu*kin fortune and depending on the early respones i get i might pull the plug on the whole idea.

im getting my delivery of 25 blue and 25 black soon,ill let you know when they land bradders.

its first come first served,when they are gone they are gone.

Can you get a pic up? Is it just a flat spot where the old light was or is it the same shape as with the light but just plain plastic?

I'd' want a black one, easier to change the colour :D

They are going to be the same shape of the mudguard but without the light.

This photo should give a rough idea

Ive done it like this so the side panels fit right and the DTX/RE lines still flow through the bike.

Oh and i will be getting some in blue so no need to spray a black one.

Sorry no photos yet as i still only have the prototypes.I will get some photos up as soon as i can.

ok no problem, as for colour i'm still deliberating on what colour to make the bike so black would be good as a base colour, looks cool can't wait to see the finished item :)

Im really busy at work at the minute and im waiting for an email off them.They have promised me the end of the month.

I cant wait to see the finished item but they dont seem as excited as me.

well today was a bad day for the mudguard project.

the prices i have been quoted have been slowly escalating and today i had to pull the plug on it.

i have been sent a sample mudguard which was a good fit and good quality but there has been problems with the way the side panels slide into the mudguard.

i have had it on my bike and made the modifications to take the side panels and sent it back to the factory for the mods to be made to the final mudguard but the price for the extra work and routing involved is virtually double that originally quoted and they say they are now to busy to make any for february.

so im afraid its off lads,sorry to anyone who was waitng for the end result,there was no one more excited than me.

im going to make my own for my bike as i for one am not going to let this put me off.

Already started on mine.Back light molding is cut out and the hole is fibreglassed ready to rub dowm tomoz

thats a shame, never mind lol i only wanted one coz the little tab on the side wer it bolts on has broken off lol and it would be easier to light up the number plate with an after market tail tidy, instead of having 2 seperate lights wat a bitch :(
