Get yourself an Ordnance Survey Landranger map for your area. The lanes or Byways are marked with red or green crosses.
This is an OS map for the whole of the UK www.bdcc.co.uk/XMarksTheSpot.htm

Zoom it out, go to your area and zoom in and it'll show you where the lanes are.

There's also this site http://www.qwerf.com/greenlaning/?county=surrey the guy has ridden the lanes and video'd them.

I'm hopefully gonna do a trip to Kent on Saturday with some lads from Essex - I'll get some pics up on here if it goes ahead.

I'm in Essex - the part with hardly any lanes! We were going to do a loop starting near Canterbury going to Folkestone, Dover, Deal then back to the start point. Not sure if it's gonna happen or not. I prob won't make it now as my van's been changed for a fiesta van furious

these ones are legal ,i made sure of it

but the signs are still there ,i think they do that to stop just anyone going down there

but its actually the signs that are wrong on these two,its just to put you off if you dont have the latest os map lol

but you can check it online anyways and they are not meant to be shut to vehicles ,bloody party poopers the council

forgot to mention the vid looks phat dude

wish was more lanes this way cry

Do the signs say no motor vehicles or no 4 wheel motor vehicles. I went laning near Cambridge a couple of weeks ago and they've got loads of lanes where 4x4's and quads are banned but bikes aren't. Council website should have a list of the current byway restrictions.

the signs are the round ones with a bike and a car on it in a red circle with white background

but at the other end of the lanes (the quiet end in the woods)they have byway signs with the number of the byways on them and all the propper arrows etc
