if you have put a standard piston in from a 96-on (56.00mm)

but the bike is pre 96 you have a .4 gap coz the older ones are bigger as standard and will give you instant piston slap

i totally agree ....you need to check the specs and let us know

then depending on the outcome we can give you the right size/dimentions of your yeah and if its been bored before so you wont waste time and money on more baggy pistons

we are here to help dude ,let us know and good luck wink

well the bikes a q plate reregestered in 1993 so pre 96 the piston kit i bought is a mitaka on the box said dt125r 1990 onwards, it was making the sound very slightly b4 my piston went, thinkin more along the lines of power valve as the old piston had a chunk missing from the exhaust side and the top ring was snapped, i got a haynes manual so gonna reset my power valve and see if that sorts it, also im now loosing water ?? no leeks though, iv hurd the head gaskt you get with the kit is pants, ??

help is very muh apreciated as i use the bike every day for a 30 mile trip to work and back :)

get them powervalve cables crossed over matey before you smash your new piston. have the valve turning towards the exhaust port an back to fully open on the cleaning cycle ,, see if it kills your rattle
