1dont know if this is the right place, but dont know where the best place would be anywho....
going to put my kickstart on today and found out 1 of my screws has got no head, its been completly worn out... its the screw behind the rear brake pedal, if anyone knows of a pay i can take it off please let me know!
Same happened to me when I replaced mine to stainless bolts, i got a flat head that was just a bit too big, whacked it with a hammer to ram it in then unscrewed it. Seemed to work quite a few times
Question - when Yamaha got all their parts together for the DT's did they just go out and buy the cheapest, sh**tiest bolts they could find? (It's not just Yamaha either)
Every time I've worked on a standard engine I've had this problem and it's a right f**king pain !!!
Chisel a notch in the outside of the screw, tap it round with a flat head screwdriver to loosen it then it should come out the rest of the way i posidrive. You could also use an impact driver.
Once you get it out bin it and replace with a decent hex head screw.
