i see alot of people say there bike do 80 , 90 some 100 but i can seem to get mine 1990 to budge over 70 and from 65 to 70 it seems to struggle any ideas to get quicker ?????
I clocked mine at 76mph on GPS(80 on the speedo), was about 1mph faster than my mates, 80mph is about the fastest you'll ever get a standard derestricted DT to go on flat ground with no tail winds etc.
Many things can lose you top speed, high milage, knobbly tyres, worn wheel bearings, knackered chains, coked up exhaust ports, badly tuned carbs, non-sealing reeds, leaky crank seals, probly not noticeable on there own but when you get a combination of a few different problems you'll start to notice loss in power when you compare yours to other bikes.
max mine has been was 87 lol. In a downward tunnel :P Scary as **** that speed lol, but yeah normal riding my bike is feeling sluggish now, 12k miles and i don't think it's ever been rebuilt :/
